Spam Detection Service (Reporting)
You may report unwanted messages to Microsoft to improve the spam detection engin:
- How to report unwanted messages (junk email / spam):
- Select the Report Message button located at the upper right corner (Outlook)
- Choose Junk or Phishing whenever it is applicable
Remarks:
- Reporting a message as Junk will add the sender to your Blocked Senders List and move the email to your Junk Folder. Any future emails from the same sender with the same sender email address will be automatically directed to your Junk Folder and will not appear in your Inbox.
- Reporting a message as Phishing will move the email to your Junk Folder and report the item to Microsoft for analysis. While any future similar blackmail emails may still be delivered to your Inbox initially, Microsoft continuously updates its filtering algorithms. As a result, there is a possibility that future similar blackmail emails, regardless of whether it uses the same sender email address or not, will be identified and automatically directed to your Junk Folder.
