Tips for Remote Desktop (RDP) to AAD joined PC

The following are some tips for remote desktop (RDP) to an Azure AD (AAD) joined PC.

Getting Started
  1. Login username
  2. Add a Standard User in Remote Desktop Users group

A. Login username

  • To login to a AAD joined PC, user should enter the username in this format

  • AzureAD\<ITSC Network Account>@ust.hk

B. Add a Standard User in Remote Desktop Users group

  • Launch the command prompt as administrator and run the this command

  • net localgroup "Remote Desktop Users" /add "AzureAD\<ITSC Network Account>@ust.hk"
