Telephone Service Resumed Normal After Partial Outage on Jul 19 (Wed)

Due to hardware problem of our telephone system (PABX), there was a telephone service interruption since 8am this morning in which some users were unable to make/receive calls or to access voice messages.

HKT engineers were contacted immediately and they shortly came on site to troubleshoot the problem and finally have the root cause identified.  Our telephone service gradually resumed normal starting 4:30pm, and everything was verified back to normal at 10:40pm after a series of thorough checking.

We apologize for any inconvenience thus caused. ITSC will further follow up with the vendor for any possible improvement work.
