Online Training for Email Phishing (with $20 free print quota to win)

Dear HKUST Students,

In view of the recent surge of email phishing events leading to a number of user account passwords being stolen, ITSC prepared a short online training course which aims to raise the cybersecurity awareness of our users.

The training introduces a few ways on how to spot a phishing email and how to identify a fake CAS (Central Authentication Service) login page. This training course is based on our Canvas learning management system. It has two video clips and a short quiz to test your knowledge on email phishing :

• Part I includes two short video clips, and an Email Phishing web site for reference.
• Part II has a short quiz (with 10 multiple choice questions) for you to practice.

I would strongly recommend you to try out this training course and complete the quiz. It should take about 15-20 min to finish.

To encourage your participation, the first 1000 students who completed the online training and correctly answered all the 10 multiple choice questions by 7 Oct 2016 (Fri) will have $20 free print quota. (Eligible winners will have the $20 free print quota credited to their accounts by the end of Oct 2016, if not earlier.)
