Microsoft 365 Copilot is an AI assistant that helps you with your everyday tasks and productivity. You can ask Copilot questions, get suggestions, perform actions, and learn new insights using natural language. Whether you need help with your email, documents, meeting or other Microsoft 365 apps, Copilot is ready to assist you anytime, anywhere.
License
To access Microsoft 365 Copilot, you will need an extra license that has an annual subscription fee of US$360 per user. Please contact your department to request a purchase of the license with PURO. After the purchase is completed, please let us know (cchelp@ust.hk) the emails of the licensees for license allocation.
Notes: A 10% discount is available for colleagues who order now. The availability of this offer depends on Microsoft’s arrangements.
Software Requirements
Before starting to use Microsoft 365 Copilot, you will need to check your computers with the following requirements. Microsoft 365 Copilot enables AI features in Microsoft Office 365 which has the following requirements.
Operating Systems
- Windows – Windows 11 (preferred) and Windows 10
- MacOS – Supports the three most recent versions of MacOS for installation of Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise
Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise (formerly Microsoft Office 365)
Microsoft 365 Copilot requires Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise. Follow this webpage to check if you are using Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise. To install Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise, please go to this webpage .
Additional Points to Note
- Install with latest updates and security patches - Windows updates & Office updates
- Sign in with your ITSC account in Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise
- Switch to the New Outlook and New Teams - to enable some of the Copilot features and future updates. The existing Outlook application only supports Summarize and Coaching by Copilot functions. To enable Draft with Copilot function, the new Outlook client is needed. More information here.
